In late October, CIRFA participated at the Space Day 2021 at Vitensenter in Tromsø. The event arranged by Vitensenter and Andøya Space was designed to introduce high school students and students to career opportunities in space-related research and buisnesses in northern Norway.
How do we know the paths of large floating objects including ice bergs, oil spill simulations, and how do we pinpointf search areas during Search-and-Rescue missions? This requires modeling of surface ocean currents in real time and into the future with high spatial and temporal resolution.
