This spring term, CIRFA and the Earth Observation group at UiT hosted four international students for their internship or study projects. We are proud that they chose to spend their time with us, and we wish them the best on their promising way ahead.
From July on, Wenkai will work with sea ice experts from the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and University of Bremen for one year.
Silje joined the CIRFA team already in 2020 to do her PhD with us. She is located at the Norwegian Meteorological Institute (MET) in Oslo and her work focuses on ocean circularion forecasts for the Norwegian coastal and shelf seas.
Cornelius Quigley and Johannes Lohse completed their PhDs this spring – a big stepping stone on what is still to come. CIRFA is proud of you and we are curious to see you grow even more.
Anna joined the CIRFA team early in 2021 to do her PhD with us. During the upcoming three years, her work will focus on Multi-temporal remote sensing of dynamic Arctic phenomena.
Laust recently joined the CIRFA team to do his PhD with us. His work will focus on Mapping and Modeling of Iceberg Occurrences in the Barents Sea.
