The Colour and Light in the Ocean from Earth Observation (CLEO) conference was held in Frascati, Italy from 6- 8 September 2016. CIRFA presented a poster at the conference: “Ocean Color Remote Sensing of the Marginal Ice Zone in the Arctic”, written by Katalin Blix and Torbjørn Eltoft. The abstract can be read here.

The European Space Agency (ESA) hosted CLEO in the context of the Scientific Exploitation of Operational Missions (SEOM).  The objectives of CLEO were to gather users and providers of ocean color products from several projects to provide input to, and feedback on these products, and discuss scientific key issues in order to establish and develop collaborations between communities engaged in space and in-situ observations and marine ecosystem modelling.
