The 10th of September, PhD student Martine Espeseth from UiT and Ida Jaklin Johansen from Kongsberg Spacetec (one of CIRFA research partners), participated at the citizens’ debate, hosted by the Norwegian Space Centre, as an initiative from the European Space Agency (ESA).

Information on this meeting can be found here: http://www.romsenter.no/Aktuelt/Siste-nytt/Du-snakker-ESA-lytter

The agenda of this meeting was to discuss important topics related to ESA’s focus areas in the future. For example spaceflight, space science, exploration, Earth observation, telecommunication, and satellite navigation.

A number of people with diverse backgrounds were gathered in the Norwegian Space Centre’s building to share thoughts and ideas. All of ESA’s membership countries have held or plan to hold similar debates.
