CIRFA will focus on outreach and communication in 2021
We are happy and excited to have received support from the UiT Strategic Fond to make CIRFA more visible through a dedicated communication and outreach initiative in 2021. Our goal is to introduce a wider audience to what integrated remote sensing and forecasting can do for our society, how we work and what the goals of CIRFA are. We also aim to educate our early career researchers in communication and outreach strategies, present CIRFA in known and new ways, and invite a new audience to its activities within research and innovation.
Arne Smalås, the dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology and CIRFA Consortium Board Member, celebrates with us: “I am happy to see that the important research and innovation from one of the faculty’s flagships, CIRFA, can be brought to a broader audience. Remote sensing is a big industry today, and the research output from CIRFA brings the technology steadily to new application areas.”
