CIRFA is one of 17 Centres for Research-based Innovation (SFI) granted in 2014 by the Research Council of Norway (RCN project number 237906) and together with its research and user partners.

CIRFA is hosted by the Department of Physics and Technology at UiT the Arctic University of Norway
